5 beautiful ways to involve your family in your elopement day!

elopement, Inspiration

Let’s face it, not everyone wants to have a big traditional wedding! And that should be OK too. But there are ways to involve your family in your elopement without giving up on yourself.

Here comes 5 ways to involve your family in your elopement day!

  1. Have your family members write you notes or record a video message that you read/see on your day. This is a beautiful way to involve them and let them be part of your day without actually being there.

2. Throw a “Sent off” -party close to the day you are eloping. This is perfect if you are doing a destination elopement. Your family and friends get to wish you well just as you leave and they will be thrilled to have spent that time with you.

3. Involve your family and friends in the planning of your day. Take them with you as you try dresses and choose vendors. Let them help out and I am sure they will understand how important this is for you!

4. Incorporate meaningful and personal details. I’ve seen brides wear necklaces from their father, rings from grandmother, veils from the family, bouquet pins with a photo of a special someone and to be honest, the possibilities are endless. Just make sure you tell the photographer all about it so you will have memories to look at later.

5. Why not have a weekend experience. In that way, you can bring family and friends to be part of both Friday and Saturday doing things you love, bbq, shopping, hiking, kayaking, late-night conversations, etc, and then do YOUR thing on Sunday, with your own chosen activities and ceremony.
